"Co-driver" in the generic sense is a truck that is operated by two drivers. A "lead" or "first seat" and a "co-driver." Co-driver is also slang in the trucking industry for "speed" or other illicit drugs known as "uppers" that will help a driver stay awake longer to complete a run.
